We built Clover because the work between companies shouldn't run on email
Onboarding, compliance, document collection, product data, corrective actions. In most organizations, these processes are held together by email threads, spreadsheets, and institutional memory. When someone leaves, the process leaves with them. When the auditor asks why a decision was made, no one has a clean answer. We're building the system that should have existed all along.
Every inter-company process has a lifecycle. In most organizations, it's invisible.
Products get onboarded. Documents get reviewed. Decisions get made. But the lifecycle is scattered across tools that don't talk to each other: an email here, a shared drive there, an approval that lives in someone's memory.
We've spent our careers in this space: foodservice data synchronization, contract management, trade promotion management, supplier compliance. We've seen the same pattern across every industry: the processes between companies are critical, and they're running on tools that were never designed for them.
Context over content
The market has supplier data platforms, document management tools, and compliance systems. Each stores content: current field values, document files, status flags. Clover stores context: the full history of decisions, changes, and reasoning that produced that data.
Execution, not just data collection
Portals collect data and wait for someone to act on it. Clover moves work through stages: a supplier submits a document, it gets validated against your rules, exceptions get routed to the right reviewer, and the decision gets recorded. The process runs. It doesn't wait.
Decision context, not just audit logs
Audit logs tell you what happened. Clover captures why, in an immutable, hash-linked ledger. When a supplier updates a field and your team accepts it, the record shows the original value, the new value, who reviewed it, and the note they left. Tamper-evident and always queryable.
Configurable, not custom
Custom development means months of work and results that can't evolve. Clover's behavior comes from configuration: your industry's terminology, compliance requirements, and workflow steps. A new vertical implementation takes weeks, not quarters. When a new regulation hits, you deploy a template and configure it.
A supplier experience that works
Your long-tail suppliers don't want another portal to manage. Clover shows them a guided task list: here's what we need, here's where to provide it, here's what's outstanding. Built-in conversations keep questions tied to the work. They complete the task and they're done. No training required.
